Mad Rock really does make a good shoe at a more affordable price. This model is mostly covered with rubber all around the shoe and it seems like it will hold up quite well. Sizing for the shoe was pretty true for me. It's not extremely aggressive so I only went up a half size from my street shoe. The break in time was very short, one session and they feel very comfortable. Performance of the shoe is pretty great all around due to the Mad Rock rubber, which is super sticky but soft so it will be more prone to wear down a little faster than some of their competitors. All in all I would totally recommend this shoe for anyone that does a little all around climbing.
I ordered the original Mungens on Amazon for $63, but they must have messed up or had an inventory problem because they sent me the Mungen Tech 2.0. My street shoe is a size 8, and I ordered the true size based on reviews of the original Mungens.
