I was suffering from a sore heel for some time. After checking with an orthopodic doctor, he diagnosed my problem as being due to pressure on the side ligament in my foot. He reommended this brand of insert for my shoes as a solution. It is designed to provide good side support, which was my problem, as my side ligament was getting stressed by inadequate support. The insert resulted in a major improvement and I could now hike without any pressure and discomfort in my foot. It should be noted that I replaced the existing insert in my boots and shoes before putting in the Sole insert. If you doen't do this, you will end up cramping your foot and causing more grief. I was first taken aback by the high price of the insert at my local pharmacy, over $48. I saved about $8 by buying the same item at Amazon, which was very welcome. I highly reoommend this item for improved foot support.
