I've been a steadfast advocate of DC shoes since I bought my first pair many years ago. I don't skate, for the record, but I've still always managed to destroy my shoes very quickly for some reason. I've never had shoes that lasted more than a year, but those old DC's lasted me many years.

This was my fourth and last pair of DC shoes that I will purchase. They have all kinds of small defects that, while not insurmountable, are the hallmarks of a sub par product. I've heard a lot of good things about a lot of other brands, but I'd stay away from Circa as well (although I am told that Circa and DC are pretty much the same thing, so that makes sense).
